DETAILED INFORMATION
  • Technical Execution (TE) represents 50% of your score. When the contestant performs advanced level trick elements, points will be given for each element. All points are given per trick element. Originality, amplitude, long-sleep, continuity, uniqueness, style, choreography are NOT subject to be scored here. Judges ONLY count positive points.

  • Point Flow (PF) counts for 10% of your score. It's about how you spread your technical trick points throughout your routine. If you do your hardest tricks at the start, you won't get many points. Saving your best tricks for the end will score you more points.

  • Control (CTL) makes up 10% of your score. To score maximum points, you have to demonstrate precise control over the yo-yo and string. This includes executing tricks cleanly, smoothly transitioning between elements, ensuring the yo-yo lands and exits the string smoothly, and practicing each trick to mastery.

  • Entertainment (ET) makes up 10% of your score. To get a high score here, you need to move around and show off your tricks from different angles. Just standing still won't get you any points.

FORMALITIES
  • Filming must be done in 1080 x 1920 format (Mobile Upright). During the freestyle the camera is not allowed to move.

  • Contestants have the option to submit their freestyle with or without music. If you prefer to include music, you can either submit your freestyle with non-copyrighted music overlaid or select a song from the Instagram library.

Let us know which song you used & we will implement it into the performance.

  • If you don't have access to a room with a completely dark background, we encourage filming outdoors. Select a pleasant scenery in your city or even in nature.

  • For accurate judging, it's crucial to choose lighting that ensures the judge's visibility. Whenever possible, light should come from behind the filming setup, supporting clear visibility. Avoid positioning a light source behind the player, as it may hinder accurate assessment.

  • Dress to impress! While dark clothing can help assess performance, we encourage people to wear nice attire. We give players full freedom to decide how to dress, as long as it does not go against our formalities (Politics & Religion).

  • Remote Competitions provide a space free from politics and religion. It's a platform to compete against individuals from all over the planet. Any political or religious statements showcased through the freestyle in any way, shape, or form are strictly forbidden. Wearing or showcasing religious symbols is not allowed.

  • Players are prohibited from publishing any part or the entirety of their submitted freestyles in any manner. Those who do so will automatically be disqualified from judging. Every correctly submitted freestyle will be showcased on our social media accounts.

  • The judges' decisions are last. Freestyles over 60 seconds will be shortened, only points from the first 60 seconds count.

  • If you want to earn prize money you must register yourself as a professional and follow our rules and comply with the following formailities:

Framing - The yoyo cannot leave the frame during the freestyle. If the yoyo goes out of the frame during your freestyle, whether it touches the edge or leaves the frame completely, your performance won't qualify for prize money. We'll enforce this rule strictly.

No 0 Points - To qualify for prize money a professional cannot have 0 Points in any of the judging criteria.

PromotionPlayers must agree to post their freestyles on their social media accounts in collaboration with us for 14 days. After this period, prize money will be automatically paid out.
